(see Design and Build) Design: Wellington Shire Council. Overview: The Heyfield Wetlands Centre has been built with local community support and grant money from the Victorian State Government. Overlooking wetlands and indigenous re-vegetation the centre has stunning views across flats and hills to the Great Dividing Range. The radial weatherboards, cut from Silvertop Ash, enhance and are enhanced by the buildings natural setting and will be left to weather naturally. Weatherboards, random deck, beveled balusters and wedge rafters and handrails have been fixed and finished with attention to detail. The products combine to give a solid and aesthetic appearance to the building that is in keeping with the surrounds and Heyfield's Timbertown status.
