Overview:
This house is located on the ninety mile beach on the
west side of the
entrance at Lakes Entrance. The house is on free hold land located in
the
National Park with access via boat. All of the timber bundles
had to be hand delivered by barge and carted up the beach by hand!
J. Dale Fisher Architects have used radially sawn vertical board and
batten on a number of jobs and used Bulmer and Shepard Builders who are
experienced in the installation of the product. The addition of the
second storey cantilever over the existing single floor building
contrasts the original hardwood vertical boards to show the beauty
of the radial timber cladding.
