Project: Maleny House and The Chainsaw to Fine Furniture Timber Expo at Maleny, South East Queensland.

Builders: Unknown

Products used: Natural Edge weatherboards, Internal and External

Designers: Unknown.

Overview: When these  Maleny Greens shifted north from Victoria them took with them the knowledge of radial timber.

Wanting to use and promote the waste reducing radial technology they decided to arrange transport of radial weatherboards from the Yarram Mill for the construction of their new home at Maleny. The house is located in the ranges alongside the Glasshouse Mountains inland from the Sunshine Coast.

Years later, RTA followed, to mount a display at the Melany Chainsaw to Fine Furniture Show, not realizing that a fine example of radial boarding was close at hand.

The radial pyramid display shows a variety of radial products and cutting patterns and features a section showing the high volume of  value added products that can be produced from one log..
